Virtual Therapy for Adults in Forsyth, Branson, Taney County & Across Missouri.
Direct, practical support for anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, trauma, and addiction recovery.
Working with me 🙋♂️
Hi, I’m David Robbins, LPC.
If something feels stuck… in how you think, feel, relate, or move through daily life, I can help.
I offer fully virtual therapy and coaching for adults throughout Missouri, with a particular understanding of the challenges that come with living in the Ozarks and Branson area. I live and work in Taney County myself.
My approach is straightforward and collaborative. Your time and money matter. I don’t believe in endless sessions without direction. We’ll identify what’s getting in the way and work toward practical change.
I’m currently accepting new patients.
If you have questions or want to book a session, you can email me david@davidprobbins.com or call/text me (816) 396-0181 and I’ll reply within 1-2 business days.
Who I Help
I work with adults who are dealing with:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Depression and low motivation
Neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, high-masking presentations)
Trauma and the lasting effects of difficult experiences
Substance use and addiction recovery
Relationship and family difficulties
Life transitions, identity questions, and feeling “stuck”
Many of my patients are high-functioning on the outside but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or exhausted on the inside. Others are simply ready to stop repeating old patterns.
Why Work With Me
I bring more than 20 years of clinical experience, including leadership roles in clinics and research settings. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri with specialized training in addiction and autism.
I also bring lived experience. I’ve worked through depression, addiction, relationship struggles, and periods of low motivation myself. That combination of professional training and personal understanding shapes how I show up in the room. Direct, non-judgmental, and focused on what actually helps.
More about me 👋
I’m a musician by trade, former EMT and hobby engineer.
I’ve worked deeply with patterns around substance use, anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity, always tailoring to your unique story.
I bring all of my personal passions into my work to explore together how your passions might reweave a sense of connection and clarity in your life.
When not working as a therapist or coach, I love spending time outdoors and with my wife and 3 children.

Therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, is a professional process that aims to improve mental health and well-being. It involves talking to a trained therapist in a safe and confidential environment to explore and address various emotional, behavioral, or psychological issues.
-
Therapy typically involves a collaborative relationship between the therapist and the client. The therapist provides a supportive and non-judgmental space for the client to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Through various therapeutic techniques and approaches, the therapist helps the client gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes in their lives.
-
The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some individuals may find resolution in a few sessions, while others may require longer-term therapy. Short-term therapy can range from a few weeks to a few months, while long-term therapy may continue for several months or even years. In my practice, each session is 45-60 minutes long.
-
Yes, therapy is confidential. Therapists are bound by legal and ethical guidelines to maintain client confidentiality. This means that the information shared during therapy sessions remains private and cannot be disclosed to anyone without the client’s consent, except in situations where there is a risk of harm to self or others.
-
Similar to therapy, coaching sessions may be significantly shorter, or longer, depending on what we’re working on. Coaching allows many more options for working on your issues, but doesn’t technically address mental health issues.
I offer Life Coaching, Business Coaching, and Mindset Coaching. -
I accept most major insurances, including but not limited to CoxHealth, Blue Cross Blue Shield, BCBS, United Health Care, United behavioral Health, Aetna, New Directions, GEHA, Medicaid, Medicare, and Cigna. If you want to know if I’m in network with your insurance, check with your insurance company or ask me directly.
Otherwise my fee per hour is $150. All fees, copays and coinsurance are due and payable at the time of services. I accept cash, check, and all card payments including most HSA.
If you have a deductible(the amount you pay out of pocket before the insurance pays me, your provider anything), you will have to pay the maximum allowed amount according to that insurance plan.
