Clinical Consultation

I provide clinical consultation for individual therapists and counselors. It’s designed for clinicians who want an experienced outside perspective on their work. Something closer to ongoing supervision than organizational consulting.

Most people who use this service are licensed or provisionally licensed clinicians looking for help with specific cases, clinical decision making, or areas where they feel stuck. Common topics include:

  • Working through difficult or complex cases

  • Clarifying diagnostic or treatment questions

  • Handling ethical or boundary issues that arise in practice

  • Building skill and confidence with particular populations or presentations (including neurodiversity, trauma, addiction, and others)

  • Getting direct feedback on clinical approach without the formal structure of traditional supervision

I’ve spent more than 20 years in the field as a Licensed Professional Counselor, including years in clinic leadership and as a clinical supervisor. Over that time I’ve worked with a range of theoretical orientations and treatment approaches. That background is useful when a clinician wants to think through how a particular model fits a case, or when they’re weighing options across different approaches. I don’t push one framework. The focus stays on what will help the therapist and the client in front of them.

Sessions are collaborative. We look at what’s happening in the case or the clinical question, identify what’s getting in the way, and talk through options that fit the clinician’s style and the client’s needs.

If you’re looking for clinical consultation, whether for a specific case, ongoing support, or a particular area of practice, contact me to discuss what you’re working on and whether it would be a useful fit.

Cost: $175 per 50 minute virtual session.
